Tanel Toomi "Tõde ja õigus" parima rahvusvahelise filmi kategooriasse küll edasi ei pääsenud, aga väga rahul võib olla näiteks Netflix, sest voogedastusgigant juhib esimest korda kõikides olulisemates kategooriates kokku 24 nominatsiooniga, aga ka Scarlett Johansson, kes kandideerib kahe erineva filmiga kahes erinevas kategoorias (parim naispeaosa ja naiskõrvalosa). Tänavused Oscarid toimuvad 10. veebruaril.
